The logo ties together the healthfulness of a simple green apple — eating one cleans your teeth when you can't brush — and an easy, friendly smile. It was designed to appeal to women (who make most family dental appointments) and signal a different approach to the experience of visiting the dentist. Brush 32 "owns" a bold green color palette in the otherwise blue dental market.
We created signage standards for use in all franchise locations. First month appointments in the flagship location doubled business projections. A second location is scheduled to open in mid-2011.
A different kind of patient experience begins with a jaunty manifesto in the waiting area.
The practice focuses on overall dental wellness and encourages patients to think of a healthy smile as the product of a healthy life — more than just brushing and flossing. We developed educational messaging for use in the clinic, on the web site, and for use in outreach to schools.
Patients are encouraged to see the surprising links between a healthy mouth and a healthy body. Infographics are clean, well organized, and authoritative. Gone are the gingivitis posters seen in many other practices.
Changeable banners allow for easy seasonal updating, and even the restroom signs are part of the complete clinic package.
The treatment areas are open and white with a punch of colorful photographic panels of natural green textures. Panels are fabricated with inexpensive materials to allow for easy updating to keep things fresh, and to accommodate various lease spaces as the franchise expands.
Graphics and messaging change within each patient treatment area, offering new information at each visit.
During treatment, patients can watch movies (or educational programming about different procedures). Simple, layered graphic panels tie the branding in with educational information.
A detail of the patient-facing panel helps explain the foundation for the logo: green apples help clean your teeth when you don't have time to brush. Clients are offered an apple when they leave.

The simplicity of the apple logo is easily recreated throughout the clinic in frosted glass doors and windows.
For a second clinic, we reproduced the logo with MDF, paint, nails — and floss. (Mint flavored, naturally.)
Eco-friendly packaging replaces the toothbrush-in-a-plastic-bag you get at most dentists.

HTML email blasts with helpful dental health tips and special offers help keep the clinic in regular contact with patients.
